According to Opera News, police in Kisumu shot dead Walter Odhiambo in the morning of November 25, 2021 in Kisumu County, Kondele trading centre. Police reports state the deceased threatened the public using a machete. They allege when asked to surrender, Odhiambo confronted the police officers with his machete and that is when they shot him and killed him. Missing Voices sources state otherwise, they report that Walter Odhiambo was killed in cold blood by the police despite having surrendered and accepted arrest.
