Nairobi police chief James Mugera confirmed police killing of one person in Githurai 44 and a pistol recovered from him on July 18 at night. The deceased is said to have been part of a gang that had been attacking and robbing residents when police were alerted. Three other accomplices managed to escape, police said. Body taken to the city mortuary.
