Kasarani subcounty deputy police boss Purity Wahome has confirmed police from Kasarani shot dead one unknown youth on April 22,2022. She alleged the deceased and his pavilion passenger who escaped were on a motorcycle carrying a bicycle and a water pump when the police officers on patrol suspected them and flagged them. They refused to obey. Police shot in the air to warn them. “The pavilion passenger allegedly shot at the officers using a pistol as the deceased escaped on the motor cycle until he reached a dead end of the road.” Wahome told Missing Voices on phone. The deceased was the one riding the motor cycle. Wahome said he confronted the officers using a machete.” The officers shot in the air to scare and worn him but instead he advanced, that is when he was shot.” She said.
