According to Nation Africa, Susan Wanjiku and ten others were arrested on November 15 at around 7.30 PM at Jamia Mosque, by police officers from Nairobi’s Central police station. Witnesses said police tortured them outside the station’s canteen after ordering them to remove clothes and remained naked. They were later freed the same day without any charges preferred against them. Witnesses say Wanjiku developed complications after the release and claim she succumbed to police brutality. Her body was taken to City Mortuary by police as booked as unknown.
