Reagan Ndindi was allegedly shot dead by a police officer from Ramula police post in Siaya County at Gem Ramula village on January 24. He was a pillion passenger (on a bodaboda) at the time and was heading to work when he was shot by a bullet from the police. Police were dispersing students from Ramula Mixed Secondary School who were protesting the death of their teacher Calvince Okello. It was alleged by residents that Okello was killed by a police officer following a love triangle pitting Okello, his student and an officer. Police say Okello committed suicide. Siaya County police chief said investigations are underway as Ndindi's body was taken to Yala Sub-County Hospital Mortuary. IPOA is currently investigating the case.
