On February 27, 2021, Peter Mepukori was allegedly shot on his upper thigh by a police officer. The allegation was Peter and his friend had engaged in crime. Peter’s friend ran and the police officers chased after him leaving Peter injured. Peter managed to get to a family member’s house and was taken to Kenyatta National Hospital where he passed on March 1, 2021.
