The Inspector General of police Hillary Mutyambai has confirmed a police officer from Igembe North subcounty,Meru county shot dead Patrick Koome,a Bodaboda rider on October 18. It is alleged the officer killed Koome at Muthutati Market for refusing to give him a ride. The Inspector General of the Police Mr Hilary Mutyambai ordered Internal Affairs Unit to investigate the killing. He said the unit's findings will determine action to be taken. As of October 25,the cop was being held by police for two weeks to facilitate investigations.
