ATPU officers allegedly arrested them on April 12, 2021, in Hola, Tana River. Sawen was arrested from a hotel in Hola at 11:03 am, while Somane was captured 20 minutes later at Kalkacha junction. He was driving his taxi. To date, Somane and Sawan have not been found.
