According to police signal, police have confirmed Janet Chebet was shot dead by her boyfriend, a senior police officer inspector Joseph Lourien Akorot Deputy OCS attached to Mau summit police station on September 5. He shot her in the back as she was going home after dropping her four year old son at school.
