On October 4, 2021, On October 4, 2021, Police in Hamisi, Vihiga confirmed killing a 26-year-old man, named Edwin Ndege a fresh graduate from Kitui Teaches Training college, who they allege escaped from unlawful custody, which aboard a police car heading to court. Police reports claim Ndege slipped out of his handcuffs and ran towards Hamisi forest when a police constable fatally shot him. N.B.
