On October 14, 2021, at around 8:30PM, Mohammed Abubakar was abducted at gun point on as he walked home from the mosque in Majengo, Mombasa. According to witnesses, Abubakar was arrested and bundled into one of three cars that were waiting, including a white Toyota Probox, before being driven off at speed. It is claimed, the National Transport Safety Authority was unable to locate the owner of the vehicle used to arrest Abubakar. To date, Abubakar’s family has not located his whereabouts. His loved ones describe him as a musician and youth motivator.
