On August 24, 2021, Catherine Njoki, a 27 year old mother of two, was allegedly arrested by police officers from DCI Pangani. The next morning she was found dead in City Mortuary in the company of another male victim whose identity is unknown. The police reports states they were found stealing in Muthiaga and fired at police officers. Catherine had 8 bullets.
