Two Indians, Kenyan abducted over 80 days ago remain missing

The whereabouts of two Indian nationals and a Kenyan who disappeared in Nairobi more than 80 days ago remains unknown despite numerous calls to have them found.

Mohamed Zaid Sami Kidwai, Zulfiqar Ahmed Khan and their Kenyan driver Nicodemus Mwania are said to have been abducted near the Ole Sereni area along Mombasa road  on July24 and driven away in an unmarked car.

Multiple local media outlets have reported the disappearances time and again, but there has been no information on where they are or who took them.

The Indians’ lawyer, Ahmednasir Abdullahi however claims the three were abducted by security agencies.

Ahmednasir has on many occasions published messages on his social media platforms urging security agencies to produce the men.

In his latest post on the same, he said: “80 days after their abduction by Kenya’s security officers the whereabouts of my clients, 2 Indian Nationals and their Kenyan driver remains a mystery. Family members are hopelessly desperate. I petition H.E William Ruto to get to the bottom of this sad affair and give us answers!”

The disappearances have also attracted interest from Indian-based media outlets, some of which have called on the Asian country’s government to push Kenya to work harder to find the men.

Missing Voices would like to amplify this call with the hope that the three men can be found as soon as possible and reunited with their families.

We urge the National Police Service and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to get to the bottom of the abductions, find the men and return them to their homes.

We also call for the arrest and prosecution of all persons involved in the disappearances in full accordance with Kenyan laws.
