In September 2020, Spencer Thuranira was on his way to pick up medicine for his mother when he encountered a roadblock at Modern two area. According to statements, Spencer was hit on his head several times by police officers. Spencer later died. Government Pathologist, Johansen Oduor at the Nyambene Sub-county Hospital mortuary, said Spencer’s cause of death washed injury due to blunt trauma.
Spencer was 19 years old and had just finished secondary school where he scored a B +. Spencer’s dream was to become an engineer.
