It was reported that Police Constable Bernard Sivo shot dead his 29 year old girlfriend, Mary Nyambura, while she was receiving treatment at Njoro subcounty hospital on August 23 at midnight in Nakuru county, Njoro subcounty. Sivo had allegedly assaulted the deceased which prompted her to seek treatment before he followed her to hospital armed with his AK 47 riffle where he fired 10 bullets killing her on the spot. He later allegedly committed suicide using the same gun at Njoro police station.
