Haila Asanake

Police confirmed killing Haila Asanake,17, by a stray bullet fired by a police officer in Nairobi county, Kiamaiko area,Huruma Eastate on September 9 around 5:30 pm. The police officer was allegedly from Pangani police station. Asanake was allegedly standing at the balcony of their house when police officers fired allegedly to disperse a crowd. According to an autopsy report by Dr. Peter Maturi Mwamba, Asanake died as a result of Hemorrhagic shock due to a single low velocity gunshot to the chest.
