DCI released a statement on Twitter that confirmed the killing of 43-year-old George Abuti Wesonga. The statement read that on April 8, 2020, forensic intelligence lead the DCI team to the deceased’s home; the detectives asked Wesonga to surrender but he defied orders which prompted a shoot-out. Wesonga was fatally shot.
