According to reports,a police officer attached to Majira Police Post in Tharaka Nithi County, Maara subcounty, Majira village shot dead Brian Munene on July 31,2021. Brian Munene from Majira village had been working at the police post, serving a non-custodial sentence.It remains unclear as to why the officer killed Munene.
